In the spring of 1976, the St. Joe's Choir was invited to sing in the Wheeling Cathedral for an Ordination Mass. The family of a classmate recorded the choir on a small personal cassette recorder.
Years later the analog audio was converted to digital and stored as a single file. The resulting audio--not meant to be studio quality--was, unfortunatley, dreadful.
Unfortunate because, with pride as a group, we came to appreciate how good we sounded and the level of professionalism we managed to convey as representatives of our community.
With my classmates assent, I took the single file and carved the songs into single tracks, filtered out as much extraneous noise while attempting to stregthen the vocals.
I created this album space for my class and school mates who want to download the songs.
Pax tecum.
